Are you a Cockroach?

How being a Cockroach helps you go viral on YT.

Creators fall into one of two categories… quitters and cockroaches.

The tale of the quitter

Imagine this: someone starts their journey filled with enthusiasm, declaring, "I'm going to be a successful creator, and I'll do whatever it takes!"

But then, life happens. A big project at work or school, harsh comments online, or a simple loss of motivation.

These challenges become roadblocks, and suddenly, they quit.

They step away from their path to greatness.

That's the quitter's story.

Cockroaches don’t quit.

Cockroaches are the creators who face the same challenges but react differently.

A demanding project? They find time on weekends to create.

Negative comments? They shrug them off and move forward.

Loss of motivation? They do it anyway and tell themselves that THEY F*CKING LOVE IT.

“Discipline is doing what you hate to do, but nonetheless doing it like you love it.”

Mike Tyson

Why are they “cockroaches”? Because cockroaches are survivors.

In the real world, they will survive against all odds, even a nuclear bomb, and keep going no matter what.

In the creator world, you want to be a cockroach. This means you survive and anything that comes your way and you PERSEVERE.

Perseverance is the number one indicator of success.

Cockroaches will continue to make content even if their view counts are low, even when they “don’t have time”, and even when they don’t feel motivated to do so.

Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) is a cockroach. He made crappy tech reviews for YEARS until he improved enough to be successful on YT.

The cockroach known as Mr.Beast also spent years making content before making a cent on YT.

The cockroach who runs The Icing Artist also spent years crafting her content before she had a viral hit

  • However, it was many fewer years than the other two because she had Viral Academy).

Cockroaches are the creators who transform challenges into stepping stones for success.

They are the ones who understand that the path to greatness is paved with persistence and discipline.

99% of people reading this will become quitters, and only 1% will become cockroaches.

Which one will you be?
